Guru Purnima: Beneath the Moon of Wisdom

The Moon of Ashada Month ascends the silent sky,

A silver lamp where countless blessings lie;

Its gentle light awakens heart and soul,

Guiding the seeker toward a higher goal.

This is the night when wisdom softly blooms,

Dispelling doubt and every inner gloom;

The Guru's voice, though quiet as the breeze,

Brings restless minds to stillness and to peace.

Vyasa's timeless words continue to inspire,

Feeding every age with sacred fire;

From ancient verses to the present day,

They focus light on humanity's enduring way.

The Moon shines full, yet borrows all its light;

So too the disciple, humble in the night,

Reflects the grace received from teacher's flame,

Until the soul and truth become the same.

To every guide who opened hidden doors,

Who taught compassion's everlasting shores,

We bow with gratitude, our hearts made free—

For knowledge is the path to eternity.

O Guru Purnima, celestial and bright,

Unite the stars with wisdom's holy light;

May every heart become a quiet sea,

Reflecting truth, love, and serenity.
