Contemporary narratives add further intrigue. The U.S. facility known as Area 51 is a real test site for experimental aircraft, but secrecy around it has fueled decades of speculation about extraterrestrial meetings. Government reports on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) acknowledge puzzling sightings while offering no confirmation of alien visitors. Crop circles, once heralded as messages from other worlds, are largely documented as human-made art or natural patterns, though a few remain unexplained curiosities. In India, researchers and villagers sometimes speak of enigmatic marks or formations at Mount Kailash and Himachal Pradesh. 

The resent phenomenon is Buga Sphere. It is a metallic, spherical object that came to public attention in early 2025, when it was reportedly observed flying over Buga (in Valle del Cauca), Colombia, before descending and being recovered.
