Students Should Learn UNESCO Recommended Life Skills: DR. KV Raghupathi

A Guest Lecture on Presentation Skills and an Interactive Session with the Poet, Writer, and Critic was conducted by the Department of English, GCM(A), Kadapa on 12.10.2023. The distinguished Indo-Anglian Poet, Writer, Critic & Yogi, Dr. KV Raghupathi, a retired Professor, Dept. of English, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, T.N., was the chief guest and resource person of the programme. 

Dr. Sathish Reddy, Lec in English, GCM(A), introduced Dr KV Raghupati to the audience. 

Dr. Ravindra Nath, Principal of GCMA, inaugurated the programme and addressed the gathering. He stated that students should enhance their skills to compete in the modern competitive field. 

Dr. KV Raghupati's unique teaching style and effective presentation enlightened the students on Presentation Skills for two hours. 

He advocated that the students should be familiar with the Life Skills, especially recommended by UNESCO. 

In this interesting session, he interacted with the students and gave a memorable demo on Skills and Life Skills, particularly Presentation Skills. 

Then, Sri CH Ramu conducted an Interactive Session with Dr KV Raghupati. Students and Staff resolved their doubts in this interaction. 

Later, the Department of English, GCMA, felicitated Dr. KV Raghupati with a shawl and a garland. 

Dr. Sathish Reddy provides cash prizes to Meritorious Students through Dr. KV Raghupati and Lt. T. Venkata Ramana, in-charge, Dept. of English, GCMA, Kadapa. 

Then, Dr. Sathish Reddy gifted Dr. KV Raghupati a copy of his first poetry collection, 'Suicide is Suicidal'. 

Then, Dr KV Raghupati released the book 'The Poet Speaks: Interviews, Conversations & Dialogues', edited by Lt. T. Venkata Ramana, in charge of the Dept. of English, GCM(A), Kadapa.

The program ends with Dr. C Viswanath Rao, the senior member of the department, offering a vote of thanks.
